Discussion

This was the first of two spits (with 012AD06007) to be to be trowelled back in this area, in an attempt to define the anomalies clearly visible Click here to see a geophysical plot of the area  in the geophysical survey data. In the event, neither spit defined these features, indicating that they were all in an earlier phase of the settlement occupation.
